A highly detailed model of the Space Shuttle Orbiter. ATLANTIS was one of five shuttles constructed for the NASA Reusable Shuttle Program of the 1970's. The first shuttle Columbia was launched in 1981. Two shuttles were lost with CHALLENGER in 1986 and then COLUMBIA in 2003. They are now retired
