The English Electric Lightning was built as a high speed interceptor for the Royal Air Force in the late 1950's and staying in service until the late 1980's. It's primary role was to intercept Soviet Bombers over the North Sea and shoot them down before they could drop their weapons on their targets. This is a great starter kit so comes with paint, clue and paint brushes.
