Polishing Compound, Coarse - Tamiya
Polishing compound can be used for a variety of jobs in modelling from polishing out over spray on a glossy paint job to taking out scratches on a aircraft canopy. Deep scratches can be taken out using 1000 grit wet and dry and then using the course compound and then finishing off with the fine polish. For minor scratches and abrasions simply polish using the finishing compound and a nice soft cloth.
*****Hint: when the scratch or seam is polished out, clear parts, such as aircraft canopies, can be kept shiny by dipping them into an acrylic floor polish and allowed to dry. Pledge floor polish is ideal for this and keeps the clear parts transparent. Then glue them into place with our transparency glue.
