Avro Lancaster 1:48 - Tamiya
The Avro Lancaster is probably the most famous of the Heavy Bombers of WW2. Developed by AV and Roe in the UK in the early years of WW2 it was flown by RAF and RAAF. It was used in many different configurations carrying specialised bombs including the bouncing bomb made famous by the Dam Busters 617 SQN as well as carrying the heavy Grand Slam bunker busting bomb. It was later developed into a maritime patrol bomber carrying mines and depth chargers. Thus 1:48 scale kit is for the advanced builder.
