The Grumman S-2G Tracker was operated by the Royal Australian Navy from 1967 until the end of fixed wing flying by the RAN in 1984 after the retirement of the carrier HMAS MELBOURNE in 1982. The Trackers flew from the carrier and also often deployed around Australian land bases for surveillance duties and search and rescue. This kit has decals for aircraft from VS-816 SQN which operated from MELBOURNE right up to her final days at sea. A model for Intermediate Modellers.
